How to Change Your Mindset for Massive Growth — Life Long Lessons
Today we’ll talk all about mindset for massive growth.
Have you ever wondered what would happen if you were a superhero? It may remind you of the times you were younger and used to run around the room with your magic cape.
Or you may remember the most recent movie, Wonder Woman 1984.
The point is, we have always aspired to be better. Yet we already have something inside of us that makes us unique. We have a superpower. Keep reading to find out more.
Superpowers? What’s that?
In the most recent Ted Talk, Dr. Alia Crum from Harvard University in her ‘ Change your mindset, change the game ‘, talks about the magic of mindset.
You guessed it, our mindset is our superpower.
Every second of every hour we have the power to adjust our mindset for better or for worse (hopefully you do it for the best).
Dr. Crum speaks about 4 studies conducted.
#1 The Secret Way of Burning More Calories for Massive Growth
Above all, I have found helplessly scrolling through Youtube videos searching for the quickest, most effective workouts out there, but nothing-nada.
Luckily for you, there is scientific proof and a scientific study that can help you burn more calories, with one simple trick.
In an experiement, maids were split into 2 groups. One group was simply told they had done a lot of exersise diring their job. The other group received 0 feedback.
The results? Most importantly, the maids that were told they did a lot of exercise during their job turned out to have impressive results. With a simple shift in mindset, they lost a lot of body fat and burnt more calories!
Impressed but not convinced yet?
#2 Sugar honey
Furthermore, in another study conducted at Harvard University, researchers showed participants sugary drinks. One group heard that the sugary drink they would later drink had a lot of calories.
You guessed it, in this group, everyone was full. In fact, they more full that when they were told it was a more slim version. What’s the catch?
Both drinks had the intermediate number of calories.
Shocker? Well, it’s all in our minds. It makes sense, the body does what the mind wants.
#3 Don’t Worry Be Happy Now
In the next study, participants saw one of two videos of the effect of stress. One video communicated that stress was good and another video said it was bad.
Once again, the participants that were shown the video where stress was good had fewer negative health symptoms and better work performance.
Magic! Now we have another excuse to relax all day and feel good about it.
#4 Mindset Growth, Ready?
What you believe is what you become. Your mindset determines your outcome in life.
So, next time you have to make a choice, think about your mindset first. Remember that little things add up over time.
